Etna PAL Clay Bird Team Registration Requirements:
2024-2025 Etna PAL Membership $30/youth (for those who are not current members)
2025 Clay Team Registration $150/youth
USA Clay Registration/Fees will be obtained and paid for by the parent (you must have this in order to compete)
State Championship Registration/Fee will be obtained and paid for by the parent (you must have this in order to compete at State)
This is a competitive team and requires commitment. Participants in Etna PAL Clay Birds must be 8th-12 grade and have passed the California Hunters Safety Education or Student Athlete Firearm Education Certification before they are able to participate or attend any range events. Team practices and competitions are held at Dodge Range located in Yreka California.
The program adheres to all required safety regulations in place for both participants and coaches. As endorsed by the USA High School Clay Target League, all coaches complete the Coach Leadership and Safety Support (CLASS) Certification program. This course is specifically designed to train coaches participating in the state high school clay target league and focuses on three critical areas of training: Leadership, Range Safety Officer, and Student Athlete Firearm Education (SAFE).
Etna PAL Clay Birds abides by league rules of a ten to one instructor to participant ratio at practices and competitions.
All current instructors are actively employed at various policing agencies and bring additional expertise and training from their agencies of employment such as firearms instruction and range safety qualifications.
Team and student athlete registration closes Noon CT 3/24/25. Last day for athlete and/or team withdrawal for registration fee refund.
